Over the past month, powerful winter storm systems have been hammering AK. Much to the delight of the local ‘earn your turns’ contingent. Big weather in Alaska usually brings big amounts of precip. We’re talking serious snow! Southcentral Alaska is blessed with a winter measure of about 1,000 inches and numerous mountains to enjoy it in. The Talkeetnas, Kenai and Chugach mountains are all within striking distance of Anchorage. There are a even handful of ski mountains right out our backdoor in the Chugach Front Range that shape up real nice.
Though we’re currently working on the road around the Southwest, friends back home make sure to keep us in the loop with countless texts like ‘another foot of fresh’ and ‘unbelievable day’ or ‘you guys are missing it BIG TIME’. Thanks for the updates everyone and for lighting a fire under our ass to wrap things up and get back north to Snowcountry. A few from last season to hold us over.
Cheers!
Matt & Agnes
