We’re psyched to start off the new year with the January spot on Trail Runner’s annual calendar (included with the current issue). The image is from Crow Pass in Alaska’s Chugach Mountains overlooking the Raven Glacier. We were testing locations during a day scouting for the Crow Pass Crossing, a rugged 26-mile race across the heart of the ‘Gach that includes a waist-deep ford of a swift glacier river. Two days later found us back at this spot at a brisk five o’clock (not quittin’ time either) to catch the front runners cruising over the name sake pass. Check out TR’s calendar, it’ll help keep you stoked with running photography by some of the best in the biz.
